Top Five Books To Read On Inner Wellness

Health And Wellness Are More Than Eating Well And Exercising. Reading About The Connection Of Our Body, Mind, Gut-Health, and Trauma Are Essential For Well-Being.

I love that anyone can publish books in today's age. It means we have access to more perspectives and information. We are all in this together, even if it doesn't always feel that way. These books may not seem like they all fit under "Health and Wellness" but our health and wellness extends far beyond the doctor's office or the gym.

We must first and foremost, understand our body, mind, and gut. As well as the connection that they all have to each other. In addition, we must understand and be aware of any trauma our being has gone through in order to heal.

1.)The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma-by Bessel van der Kolk M.D.

2.)When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress- by Gabor Maté, Daniel Maté, et al.

3.)The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment- by Eckhart Tolle

4.)The Myth of Normal. TRAUMA, ILLNESS, AND HEALING IN A TOXIC CULTURE
By Gabor Maté, MD, with Daniel Maté

5.)The Mind-Gut Connection - By Emeran Mayer, MD

If you take the time to read these books, it could just shift your perspective! If you decide not to, I hope you find quotes and passages from these books to hopefully inspire you to find the books that are right for you, for where you are at in life.

Books are a great way to gather information on problems you may be facing, gain comfort in knowing that others have gone through similar experiences, get answers that you've been looking for, shift perspectives about a challenge you are facing, and just connect with the author and yourself.

With Love,

Ciara
